Immune Response to the Pfizer-BioNTech of SARS-CoV-2 Vaccines in Iraq
Journal ID : AMJ-05-08-2022-10367; Author : Summod Muhi Abdullah,
Abstract : COVID-19 vaccine have been indicated to successfully decrease the hazard for symptomatic severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection furthermore associated hospitalisations. To study the immune response to the Pfizer-BioNTech of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. The study was conducted in Yarmouk and Tarmiyah Hospital from the September 2021 to the March 2022. A total of 120 randomized samples aged 18-80 years old. 30 samples of patients infected with corona they did not take the COVID-19 vaccine .90 people not infected with COVID -19received corona vaccines, have a vaccine); Assessment level of IgG in individuals that take, as follow, after 2 weeks from the first dose of vaccine, before the second dose directly, after one week from the second dose, and after 2 months from the second dose of Pfizer vaccine. The study determined conducted no significant differences between male and female individuals that take covid -19 vaccines, and shows no related in any chronic other diseases such as diabetic, hypertensions patients and cancer diseases. Assessment level of IgG in individuals that take Pfizer vaccine and control group showed a highly significant difference P-Value (0.00003) between individuals that take Pfizer vaccine and control group. There was a positive correlation when assessment level of IgG in individuals that take of Pfizer vaccine.

The Effectiveness of Art Therapy on the change in the behavior of the Elderly with Mental Disorders
Journal ID : AMJ-05-08-2022-10366; Author : Indrawati, Soep, Eqlima Elfira,
Abstract : Mental changes experienced by the elderly include changes in personality, memory, and intelligence and behavior. Along with the increase in the number of elderly, the problems that often arise are cognitive and psychomotor problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of art therapy on changes in the behavior of the elderly with mental disorders. The method in this study is a pre-experimental study with a pre- and post-experimental design involving 57 elderly people who experience mental problems (stress, anxiety and fear and so on). This research instrument uses a questionnaire that describes behavior when performing art therapy. This research was conducted from January to May 2022 in the Medan Sunggal District area, Indonesia. The results of this study found that the significant test (2-tailed) was 0.013 (p<0.05) where there was a significant change (meaning). This data showed that art therapy in the behavior change of the elderly was successful. However, the art therapy was not related to each other. This was evidenced by the paired sample correlation value of 0.760 (p>0.05) which means that there is no relationship with each other. The discussion in this study is that psychogeriatric management will reduce the problem of mental disorders in the elderly. One of the efforts made is to perform art therapy in the elderly by fostering creative activities that are used as an alternative to healing mental problems such as worry, fear, stress and loneliness. This research can be used as a reference source as an alternative to healing or diverting feelings of displeasure/ feelings of anxiety or mental problems experienced by the elderly.

A clinical study of chronic liver disease patients with special reference to oral glucose tolerance test
Journal ID : AMJ-05-08-2022-10365; Author : Vinay BR, Kiran BR, Vikas BR, Shreyas Kumar V,
Abstract : Fasting plasma glucose (FPG) levels or glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) tend to be underestimated in diabetic patients with chronic liver disease (CLD), which masks the impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). In such cases, the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) is recommended to evaluate patients with suspected postprandial hyperglycemia who present with a normal FPG. This research aims to study the outcome of OGTT in CLD patients for early detection of diabetes in CLD patients and to find the correlation between OGTT and HbA1C levels in CLD patients. This cross sectional study was conducted for a period of 24 months from September 2019- August 2021 in Bangalore. The clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, HbA1c and OGTT in 50 cases of CLD was studied. Data was analysed using SPSS version 26. The mean age of patients was 45.46±11.1 years, most of the patients were male 86% (43) and 14% (7) were female. Anorexia was the predominant symptom with 84%. Alcoholism was the most common cause for cirrhosis (60%). Significant correlation was seen between HbA1c with fasting blood glucose, at ½ hour, at 1 hour, at 1 ½ hour and at 2 hours. CLD was more common in males and in lower socio-economic status. Alcoholism was most common in CLD. Most of the CLD patients were anaemic. There was a significant impaired response to glucose load in CLD. Abstinence from alcohol is important to prevent CLD. Early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes in CLD patients is important.

Serum creatinine and uric acid levels in adult male smokers versus nonsmokers
Journal ID : AMJ-04-08-2022-10363; Author : Noran Jameel Ibraheem, Ghadeer Hamid AL-Ardhi,
Abstract : We performed a prospective study to evaluate the possible effect of smoking on oxidative stress subsequently on kidney working. This study included a smoker and nonsmoker cohort of 140 healthy men, all volunteers subjects aged 25 to 45 years free renal disease and another disease, with 65 of them being nonsmokers and the other being cigarette smokers. Blood specimen was collected to estimate serum uric acid and creatinine levels. There was a significant decrease in uric acid while there was a non-significant difference in creatinine level in the smoker group compared with nonsmoker between the two groups. Both creatinine and uric acid concentration were affected by the duration of smoking compared with the control group. Smoking leads to decrease uric acid, which acts as a valuable antioxidant against oxidative stress, but creatinine levels were independently associated with smokers compared with nonsmoker males.

A review of Molecular Mechanism of Clinacanthus nutans as Anti-Cancer
Journal ID : AMJ-04-08-2022-10362; Author : Sry Suryani Widjaja, Rusdiana, M.Ichwan, Vito Filbert Jayalie,
Abstract : Clinacanthus nutans is a traditional medicinal herb, found in several countries mainly in South East Asia has been used empirically as alternative therapy for certain health disorders as viral infection, skin infection, diabetes and even could serve as potential cancer treatment for various cancers, including head and neck, breast, cervical, colon, gastric, lung, liver, pancreatic, lymphoma and leukemia and skin cancers. However, the mechanism underlying this characteristic remain unclear. We searched PubMed, ScoPus, and ScienceDirect with key words “Clinacanthus nutans and cancer” and collected recent papers of Clinacanthus nutans with anticancer activity, effects, phytochemistry, and molecular mechanisms of Clinacanthus nutans extracts on various types of cancers. Some of the study showed potential benefit of the extract to combat cancer, some has to combined with the standard treatment. This mini review aimed to provide the most updated knowledge regarding bioactive components, effects, and molecular mechanisms of extracts from this promising herb Clinacanthus nutans for future studies in oncology field and clinical application in the near future.
