Journal ID : AMJ-01-08-2022-10347; Author : Inneke Kusumawati Susanto, Sri Wahdini, Ika Puspa Sari,
Abstract : Acanthamoeba keratitis is a disease affecting the cornea caused by unicellular protozoa Acanthamoeba spp. that live freely in nature. This study aims to determine the potential for transmission and genetic characteristics of Acanthamoeba spp. from contact lens cleaning solutions and household water sources for contact lens users. The was a cross-sectional study that was conducted in January-May 2019. The collected samples were contact lens and tap water from 53 lens users in Jakarta. Acanthamoeba spp was detected microscopically from culture and molecularly by PCR-sequencing. From 53 contact lenses samples, there were 2 positive samples of Acanthamoeba sp and three positive samples of other free-living amoebae. From the culture of 53 tap water samples, there were 5 positive cultures of Acanthamoeba spp. and 34 positive cultures of free-living amoeba. From the positive PCR results on contact lenses and tap water, it was found that there was a similarity in 1 sample of contact lenses and tap water from 1 subject. Sequencing analysis found that only 1 contact lens sample was Acanthamoeba castellani genotype T4. Meanwhile, from the tap water sample, there were 5 samples that could be sequenced. The sequencing analysis results showed that 2 samples were Acanthamoeba lenticulata genotype T5 and 3 were Acanthamoeba jacobsi genotype T15.

Conversion Disorder: The Challenges in Diagnosing
Journal ID : AMJ-01-08-2022-10345; Author : Atiqah Chew Abdullah, Nicholas Tze Ping Pang, Walton Wider, Asma Perveen,
Abstract : Conversion disorder is defined as a psychiatric illness in which symptoms and signs affecting voluntary motor or sensory function cannot be explained by a neurological or general medical condition. To assess the biological and psychosocial factors of a person with conversion disorder and to provide appropriate psychotherapy to the client. A Single case study design was carried out with the case of conversion disorder. The client’s level of understanding about the illness, symptoms, and functionality improved as evidenced by the subjective report and reduction of anxiety and symptoms post-test. In this case, CBT and supportive therapy are effective in managing the client’s conversion disorder symptoms.

A Case Report of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: The Efficacy of Exposure Response Prevention
Journal ID : AMJ-01-08-2022-10344; Author : Atiqah Chew Abdullah, Nicholas Tze Ping Pang, Walton Wider, Asma Perveen,
Abstract : Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic psychiatric illness characterised by unwanted, repeated thoughts (obsessions) and/or the repetition of rituals or activities(compulsions). It has a global lifetime prevalence rate of 1.5 percent for women and 1.0 percent for men. Aim: To assess the biological and psychosocial factors of a person with OCD and to provide appropriate psychotherapy to the client. A single case study design was carried out with the case of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Post intervention showed a significant reduction of OCD and depressive symptoms. Exposure response prevention (ERP) has been shown to be effective in treating OCD in this case, as evidenced by the post-intervention reduction in OCD symptoms. Implication: ERP is effective guideline for the practitioners to manage OCD symptoms, which is evident from the current case study.

EFFECTIVENESS OF COMBINATION OF AIR CUSSION AND 30 DEGREE LATERAL POSITION TO PREVENT PRESSURE INJURY IN BED RIDDEN STROKE PATIENTS
Journal ID : AMJ-01-08-2022-10343; Author : Fitri Anita, Nur Chayati,
Abstract : One of the effects of stroke is the occurrence of hemiparesis or paralysis which makes the patient bed rest for a long time, causing the risk of pressure injury. Several pressure injury prevention interventions have been mentioned in previous studies, but with varying methods and results. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using an air cushion and a 300 lateral position in reducing the risk of pressure injury in stroke patients. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with pre and post-test with a control group design. The minimum sample size required is 17 patients for each group (intervention and control). The group was given a combination of air cushion and right and left lateral position 300, while the control group was given daily intervention (standard) ward maintenance. The duration of the intervention was 3 days. Assessment of the risk of pressure injury using the Braden scale, and monitoring of changes in position using the observation sheet. Pressure ulcer risk assessment is carried out every morning. The data were statistically tested using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney-U test. Data analysis showed that the combination of an air cushion and a 30º position effectively reduced the risk of injury p-value of 0.035 (<0.05). While the control group obtained a p-value of 0.480 (> 0.05), which means that the daily intervention by the control group nurse proved ineffective in reducing the risk of pressure injury in stroke patients. The Mann-Whitney test obtained a p-value of 0.009, meaning that the combination of an air cushion and a 30º lateral position in stroke patients with bed rest was effective in reducing the risk of pressure injury compared to the control group. This study proves that the prevention of pressure injury by giving a combination of air cushions and a 30° lateral position is effective for at least 3 days.

The Knowledge Level of Child Caregivers about A Healthy Home Environment
Journal ID : AMJ-01-08-2022-10342; Author : Sri Wahdini, Retno Asti Werdhani, Wahyu Ika Wardhani, Ema Fiki Munaya,
Abstract : To know the effectiveness of online health education for improving caregivers’ knowledge about a healthy home environment for children. This study used a pre-experimental design with online health education as an intervention. The data was collected on 11-12 November 2020 in Universitas Indonesia hospital in collaboration with the Directorate of Community Service and Empowerment, also Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. The level of knowledge was measured using structured pretest and posttest questionnaires. The data were analyzed with SPSS ver. 20.0 and used paired t-test to compare pretest and post-test knowledge with a significant level of p<0.01. The total subjects are 174 participants consisting of parents and daycare caregivers in the Java area, Indonesia. Most of the participants were female (73.6%) with an average age of 31 years and working in the formal sector (89.9%). Before intervention 23 participants (13.2%) have good knowledge, 93(53.4%) have fair and 58 (33.3%) had poor knowledge. After the intervention, 51 (29,3%) have good knowledge, 85 (48.9%) have fair and 38 (21.8%) have poor knowledge. There was a significant difference (p <0.001) in the mean scores of participants between the pre-test and post-test. In almost all aspects of the questions, there was an increased score between before and after education. Online education is effective for improving caregivers’ knowledge about a healthy home environment for children. Continuous education followed by face-to-face training of the caregivers and parents is needed to maintain and increase knowledge about a healthy home environment.
