Journal ID : AMJ-08-05-2023-11467; Author : Abdulrhman alkhaled, Qasim jaddoua, Faek badr,
Abstract : Oral rinses are one of the means of the oral health care, and natural and plant-based mouth rinses are a good alternative to synthetic rinses with chemical composition such as Chlorhexidine and Listerine, and because of this, interest in natural alternatives such as (honey and propolis), which have proven their effectiveness over time. The aim of the research is to evaluate the effect of mouthwashes honey 50% - propolis 5% on oral flora in children. A laboratory study to assess the efficiency of honey and Propolis on oral flora counts. The sample included 40 children divided into: G1 (Honey 100% = 20 children) G2 (Propolis 5% = 20 children). The data was analyzed using the statistical analysis program SPSS, version 13.00, at a confidence level of 95% (P <0.05(. Paired sample T test was used to compare the variable means of the values of the studied variables. There is significant difference between two groups. The reduction ratio was 55.44% in G1 and 74.78% in G2. This study demonstrated the effectiveness of mouthwashes of propolis and honey on the bacteria of oral flora counts.

Exposure to Carbon Monoxide (Co) in Breastfeeding Mothers and The Impact on the Quality of Breast Milk
Journal ID : AMJ-08-05-2023-11466; Author : Marlini, Amin Rejo, Suheryanto, Irsan Saleh,
Abstract : One of the most common pollutants in the air is cigarette smoke. Cigarette smoke does not only affect the health of active smokers but also for passive smokers. The fact that passive smokers are people around active smokers who are exposed to volatile compounds from the smoke of burning tobacco products and the smoke exhaled by the smoker. The percentage of smoking behavior in the house continues to increase so that in May 2022 it was recorded that 85% of family members with babies and toddlers smoked in the house. Of the 29 Community Health Centers in Musi Banyuasin Regency, it is recorded that in the Working Area of the Balai Agung Health Center the highest percentage of smoking behavior in homes with babies and toddlers is 86% per May 2022. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence exposure CO in Breastfeeding Mothers (ASI) in the Work Area of the Balai Agung Health Center, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This research is a quantitative research with a case control study design. There is no relationship between mother's age and education level with CO exposure in breastfeeding mothers. There is a significant relationship between CO exposure in breastfeeding mothers and its impact on the quality of breast milk (ASI) due to control of confounding variables such as the number of cigarettes per day, home ventilation, the mother's occupation and the duration of exposure to cigarette smoke per day.

Transient ileocolic intussusception after screening colonoscopy: a case report and literature review
Journal ID : AMJ-07-05-2023-11465; Author : Omar Almansour,
Abstract : Post-colonoscopy intussusception is a very rare phenomenon. A systematic search on PubMed found only twelve cases reported so far. The common presentation of such cases included abdominal pain and tenderness mostly in right lower quadrant and epigastrium area. The most common management of these cases included laparoscopic reduction and conservative (four cases each). The current report presents one more case of intussusception following a colonoscopy which presented with severe right lower abdominal pain and a computed tomography scan confirmed the diagnosis of ileocolic intussusception. The case was managed conservatively and intussusception was resolved without any invasive procedure.

The Relationship Between Cycle Threshold Values and Interleukin-6 and Interleukin-10 Levels in Covid-19 Children without Symptoms
Journal ID : AMJ-07-05-2023-11463; Author : Sabar Hutabarat, Eti Yerizel, Aisyah Elliyanti, Yulia Iriani,
Abstract : The coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic is a problem that is being faced by every country around the world. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the cycle threshold (Ct) value and the levels of Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Interleukin-10 (IL-10) in COVID-19 children without symptoms. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional study design to analyze the relationship between ACE-2, IL-6, and IL-10 levels in COVID-19 children without symptoms. Ct values were measured by RT-PCR, and levels of Il-6 and IL-10 were measured by ELISA examination. The result showed that low Ct values (<27) were found in 14.3% of patients while high Ct values were found in 85.7% of patients. Correlation test using Spearman Rho's showed no significant relationship that is Ct and IL-6 values (r= 0.058; p=0.742) and Ct and IL-10 values (r= 0.158; p=0.365) with mean IL-6 of 29.65 ± 46.09 (range 2.08-241.58) AndIL-10 average was 11.53 ± 10.17 pg/mL (range 1.13-66.9 pg/mL). The majority of Ct values in asymptomatic child Covid 19 patients were high (85.7%). There is a statistically insignificant relationship between Ct and IL6 valuesAndIL 10 in asymptomatic child Covid 19 patients.

Attitudes Of Dental Students Toward Older People During A Nationwide Conflict
Journal ID : AMJ-06-05-2023-11462; Author : Rama Alhakim, Mohannad Al-Saadi,
Abstract : The numbers of older people have been increasing but the attitudes towards them haven’t always been positive. This research aims to examine the attitudes of clinical-stage dental students towards older people and how some selected variables affect them during a nationwide conflict, and after the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. Students in their last two years at Damascus University were surveyed using a custom questionnaire with Kogan’s scale. 673 questionnaires were collected. Despite the conflict and pandemic which were previously related to personality disorders; Syrian undergraduates’ attitudes towards older people tended to be slightly positive among those who were alike in general characteristics, had basic geriatric knowledge, and haven’t yet contacted with old patients. Students’ gender and internal displacement that forced them to live with older relatives didn’t significantly alter their psychological attitudes. The attitudes towards older people remained moderately positive during two highly stressful events. The findings were promising but further investigations and interventions should be considered.
