A new template for the evaluation of soft tissue Cephalometric Finding for a Sample of Young Adults
Journal ID : AMJ-18-05-2023-11490; Author : Chia Abdul Abdulla, Trefa Mohammed Ali Mahmood,
Abstract : The patient’s facial appearance is one of the major determinants of the success of orthodontic treatment. An understanding of the facial soft tissues and their normal ranges enables a treatment plan to be formulated to normalize the facial traits for a given individual. Thus daily clinical practice enneads for an easy way to evaluate the patients’ soft tissue. The aim of this study is construct a new simple soft tissue template based and correlating on Arnett’s analysis. One hundred patients with age ranged (18- 26) years were selected, among patients seeking orthodontic treatments, with well-balanced face. Standardized lateral cephalometric radiograph was taken for each patients in natural head position. The Easy Dent software version: 4.1was used for cephalometricn analysis. Thirty nine landmarks and parameters related to Arnett’s soft tissue analysis were identified and measured. SPSS version 22 was used for data analysis. The results revealed that Kurdish people have a more retrognathic chin with thin upper and lower lip as compared to Arnett’s typical values for both males and females that mean midface deficiency appeared in Kurdish sample and they have shorter facial heights, based on the these findings a new template was developed for easier and valid analysis. A new soft tissue template was constructed based on the out line of sella turcica and correlating the true vertical line that allows an easy method to evaluate patients’ soft tissue essential angles and distances.

Comparison Of Microbial Colonization Between Vicryl and Vicryl Plus Following Surgical Removal of Third Molars
Journal ID : AMJ-17-05-2023-11488; Author : Ealaf Abdoh, Mohamad Hassan Jaafo, Rashad Murad, Anas Abdo, Ali Mahfuri,
Abstract : The aim of this study was to compare the microbial colonization in suture threads between Vicryl plus Vicryl and following third molar surgical extraction. 26 patients were included in this study for third molar surgical extraction, then a microbiological analysis was conducted using colony forming units (CFUs) count on blood agar plates, 7 days after the surgical procedure. Vicryl group showed higher count of CFUs with a mean of (1501000), and standard deviation (1039500). While, Vicryl plus group showed significant decrease in CFUs with a mean of (931538), and standard deviation (713553), and p-value 0.026. Vicryl plus suture showed statistically significant decrease in bacterial colonies, so it could be a possible alternative in medically compromised patients.

The effect of brushing the teeth and oral rinse with miswak extract on oral streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus, in children.
Journal ID : AMJ-17-05-2023-11487; Author : Abdulrhman alkhaled, Faek badr, Qasim jaddoua,
Abstract : This research aims to study the effect of brushing teeth with a 50% miswak extract and brushing teeth by using a tooth stick of miswak on cariogenic bacteria such as Streptococcus mutants and Lactobacillus. The saliva of 30 volunteer children in age 6-12 month for long time were collected and separated into two groups and after that analyzed salivary tests some time recently and after brushing the teeth with a miswak extricate 50% and brushing teeth by employing a tooth stick of miswak and examining its impact on Streptococcus mutants and Lactobacillus by serial process of dilution into the agar plates Mitis salivarius and Rogosa separately. It was found that the miswak have an effective impact by eliminating the cariogenic microscopic organisms or contributed to decreasing them, where the most prominent diminish was when brushing teeth with a miswak extract 50% at that point brushing teeth by employing a tooth stick of miswak, and within the case of the comparison of the sexual orientation, the number of germs in guys has diminished more in cariogenic microbes compared to the number of females examined. This study illustrated the potential useful impact of extracting Miswak 50% as an ordinary fabric for brushing teeth and the practice of modern verbal hygiene.

An Overview of Patient Satisfaction with Health Service Facilities at Kwaingga Hospital, Keerom Regency
Journal ID : AMJ-17-05-2023-11486; Author : Agus Zainuri,
Abstract : The hospital is run by organized, professional medical personnel who provide services to the community so that it provides many results, such as patient satisfaction. This study aims to determine an overview and patient satisfaction with health service facilities at Kwaingga Hospital. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. This research location is the inpatient room of Kwaingga Keerom Hospital. The study was conducted in June 2019. In this study, the population consisted of 221 inpatients. In this study, the sample of inpatients at Kwaingga Hospital Considered can represent the characteristics of the population. The measurement instrument for hospital facilities indicators is measured using a measurement indicator from the Likert scale. Data processing is done with the help of an electronic device in the form of a computer using the SPSS 20 program for Windows. The result of this research is an overall overview of patients who are the respondents who express satisfaction.

Comparative Evaluation of Canal-Centering Ability of Reciproc-Blue, R-Motion, and WaveOne Gold Reciprocating Systems: An in Vitro Study
Journal ID : AMJ-15-05-2023-11484; Author : Ola Al Haffar, Mohammed Salem Rikab, Emad Eddin Aldemmari,
Abstract : This study aims to evaluate the canal-centering ability of three single-file reciprocating systems: Reciproc Blue, R Motion, and WaveOne Gold systems. Forty-five S-shaped endodontic resin blocks size #15 were divided into three groups. Each of the groups (n = 15) were prepared, imaged, and analyzed: Group (A) RB system; instrument RB 25/08; Group (B) RM system; instrument RM 25/06; Group (C) WOG system; instrument WOG 25/07. Resin blocks were photographed before and after the preparation in the same position and superimposition of both images was performed. 12 measuring points were identified for each wall of the canal (from point A at the end of apical foramen to point L at the beginning of coronal third), with 1 mm distance between each point except for the point B, which is 0,5 mm away from both point (A) and point (C). The amount of resin removed from the inner and outer walls of the canal was measured, and the transportation of the centering ability of the canal was calculated. LSD test was performed to determine the exact location of the differences between groups (p < 0.05). Results: Statistically significant differences were found in the middle third where the RB system achieved the greatest shifting from the canal-centering, while in the apical and coronal thirds all three analyzed systems tended to prepare similarly without statistically significant differences. In Conclusion RM system showed the lowest value of shifting from the canal-centering, therefore, it is the most conservative system with the most centered preparation.
