Proneness to Anxiety and Depression among Middle School Students: Does Parental and Peer Attachment Matter?
Journal ID : AMJ-11-08-2022-10405; Author : Marwa Jabbar Saiwan, Hasan A. Huusein,
Abstract : Adolescence is a significant developmental age in which changes in biological, emotional, cognitive, and social domains occur. A descriptive correlational design was used to guide this study which aims to identify the direction and the strength of relationships between or among variables. The study included a probability simple random sample of 492 students who were selected from six schools (three schools for boys and three schools for girls) out of 56 schools that are located in Al-Nassiriyah City, southern Iraq. Data were collected through a self-report instrument that include sociodemographic characteristics, Child Anxiety and Depression Scales, Emotion Expression Scale, and the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment include. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 26 using the descriptive and inferential statistical measures. The study results display all students are not diagnosed positive for panic anxiety. One student only is diagnosed positive for depression. The expressed reluctance and expressed emotions positively predicted students’ proneness to experience anxiety respectively. On the other hand, family’s socioeconomic status and relationship with father negatively predicted students’ proneness to experience anxiety respectively. The expressed emotion and poor awareness could positively predict more students’ proneness to experience depression respectively. On the other hand, relationship with mother and relationship with peer could inversely predict more students’ proneness to experience depression respectively. The researchers recommend that there is a need for the psychiatric nurses to establish health education activities that rest on delineating the expressed reluctance with the goal of minimizing students’ proneness to experience anxiety.

Journal ID : AMJ-11-08-2022-10404; Author : Ilham Amin Jaddoue, Waleed Abdulazeez Omar, Hala abas Jasim,
Abstract : Beta thalassemia major is a typical illness in the Mediterranean bowl and it prompts early passing of the patient on the off chance that not treated and it is a general medical condition in numerous nations. To assess a few wellbeing and social boundaries in beta-thalassemia significant patients through the investigation of an example of these patients. The review arrived at the outcomes, which are; that the most noteworthy level of side effects of spleen broadening is (65%) because of the shortfall of hyperplasia, trailed by the event of expansion, however without raising the spleen or eliminating it by (27%). Concerning viral examination, the most elevated rate that showed up through reiterations was as to (Hbs Ag-ve) by (64%), while (HCV-ve) by (82%), and as to (ve + HIV) by (72%). Incidentally, the most elevated level of the above tests is (HCV-ve) by (82%). Concerning the purposes of (Use of the deferral - Receive a siphon - Use of X-stray pills), the recurrence showed us that (64%) utilized Deferral, while the utilization of siphons was the most elevated level of the individuals who didn't utilize it with seven frequencies adding up to (82%). With respect to taking X-Gad pills, the outright greater part take these pills.

Enhanced the Antioxidant Activity of Tri Organotin (IV) Complexes derived from Cephalexin
Journal ID : AMJ-11-08-2022-10403; Author : Rafid Ryyis Arraq, Angham G. Hadi,
Abstract : New tri organotin complexes have been effectively produced in the presence of sodium hydroxide by condensation processes of cephalexin (ligand) and tri-organotin (IV) chloride of (phenyl, butyl and methyl). The product were distinguished by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (1H, 13C, 119Sn), and elemental analysis. Based on the spectrum measurements, the complexes produced were given a trigonal bipyramidal shape. The antioxidant ability of Sn(IV) complexes was investigated using two different methods, radical - scavenging activities (DPPH) and the CUPRAC assays. Due to the obvious metal moiety, organotin (IV) complexes had stronger antioxidants than ligands, whereas complex of (Me3SnL) had more significant antioxidant activity than most other complexes.

RED REFLEX TEST (RRT) IN NEWBORN: Review article
Journal ID : AMJ-11-08-2022-10402; Author : Dr. Kshitij Aviraj Singh, Dr. Amar Taksande, Dr. Punam Uike, Dr. Revat Meshram,
Abstract : RER test is a simple, non-invasive method which can be easily done by pediatricians during neonatal clinical examination and in infants and children. Finding consistent with abnormal reflexes will point in direction of ocular pathologies. These pathologies can have severe effect on patient’s vision, cognitive function and morbidity. There are many causes of preventable blindness in childhood such as congenital cataract, High refractive error, Strabismus, Congenital glaucoma retinal abnormalities like retinoblastoma, Retinopathy of prematurity. For all the above-mentioned ocular abnormalities Red Eye Reflex test plays key screening tool for their early screening and prevention of disease progression with high sensitivity. In all neonatal and pediatric departments there is a need for implementation of RRT. Proper education of pediatricians is needed in this field for prompt screeing of neonates and infants, in accordance to the current guidelines.

Journal ID : AMJ-11-08-2022-10401; Author : Dr. Chundi Sai Samhitha, Dr. Rajendra Borkar, Dr. Revat Meshram, Dr. Prashant Kartade, Dr. Amar Taksande,
Abstract :

We describe a case of acquired anterior staphyloma in a 9 year old patient who had ocular trauma 3 years back. Ocular trauma is the most common cause of unilateral blindness in children (1). A 9 year old patient presented to Jawaharlal nehru medical college, wardha with history of whitish grey swelling of of left eye since 3 years following an event of fingernail trauma. On examination, visual acuity of left eye was 1/6 and that of right eye was 6/6. Examination revealed anterior staphyloma of left eye and posterior examination of the left eye could not be done. After 1 year of injurypatient had developed cataract for which clear lens extraction with ACIOL implantation was done. Now the patient was followed up for management of anterior staphyloma of left eye.
