Abstract : This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of Hanse Dent Endomix against Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) in comparison to other medicaments (Ledermix, and Metapaste) using the agar disk diffusion method. The study sample consisted of 12 filter paper disks that were randomly distributed into four equal groups: group 1 (Experminteal, n=3) Hanse Dent Endomix, group 2 (Experminteal, n=3) Ledermix, group 3 (positive control, n=3) Metapaste, and group 4 (negative control, n=3) sterile water. Medicaments' solutions were prepared by dissolving them with sterile water in a 1:1 ratio and the disks were impregnated with the three medicaments' solutions. The disks were placed on Mueller-Hinton agar plates previously inoculated with E. faecalis suspension., then the plates were incubated at 37°C for 24 hours. After incubation, bacterial growth inhibition zones) diameters around the antimicrobial disks were measured with a scaled millimeter ruler. There was a statically significant difference in the antibacterial effect against E. faecalis between the three medicaments (p=0.000). Both Hanse Dent Endomix and Ledermix medicament were effective against E. faecalis with no statically significant difference (p=0.997). The antibacterial effect of Hanse Dent Endomix and Ledermix was significantly higher than Metapaste (p=0.000). This study showed that both Hanse Dent Endomix and Ledermix medicament were superior to Metapaste medicament against E. faecalis, and the antibacterial effect of Hanse Dent Endomix was similar to Ledermix.

Journal ID : AMJ-03-04-2023-11405; Author : Nour Almassri, Mayssoon Dashash,
Abstract : E-learning is increasingly implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. This wide implementation caused the need to investigate e-learning effectiveness. Therefore, this study was undertaken to investigate the effectiveness of electronic educational course about Special Care Dentistry (SCD) in improving the learning of undergraduate dental students. And measure participants’ perceptions towards the course. About 13 undergraduate dental students (n=13) were accepted to participate in the educational course. Learning management System (LMS) of Syrian Virtual University was utilized to host the course. A pre/posttest questionnaire consisting of 50 identical multiple-choice questions was used to assess the knowledge of participants before and after the course. A questionnaire consisting of 26 items was also used to assess the attitude of students towards the electronic course in terms of ease of use and acquired usefulness. Descriptive statistic, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient were used. Significance value of 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The results showed an improvement in the acquired knowledge where the average score of students in the pretest is 13.69 with a standard deviation of 3.816, while the average score of students in the posttest is 86.31 with a standard deviation of 5.345. The learners considered that this course is easy to use and useful. So This study suggested that the e-learning can be effective for improving knowledge of undergraduate dental students.

Evaluation of temporomandibular joint disorders in patients with psoriasis: a clinical and an epidemiological study
Journal ID : AMJ-03-04-2023-11403; Author : Rasha khider, Mahmoud Abdul-hak, Manal Mouhamad, MHD Bahaa Aldin Alhaffar,
Abstract : Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease, mainly affecting the skin, nails, scalp, mucous membranes and joints. Psoriatic arthritis occurs between the distal phalanges of the fingers as well as the toes, joints of the knees, elbows, shoulders, spine and temporomandibular joint. To investigate the prevalence of TMJ disorders in patients with psoriasis. The sample consisted of 300 patients with psoriasis who attended the Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Hospital at Damascus University, who were randomly selected, and underwent a clinical examination of the temporomandibular joint and masseter muscles according to the RDC\TMJ axis 1. 68 patients (22%) had TMJ disorders, the majority of patients with Ia(48.5%) and disc displacement with IIa (25%).For symptoms related to temporomandibular joint disorders, there was a click when opening or closing by (11.7%) of the sample, and (12.3%) of the sample answered that they poke or bite tightly when sleeping, and (17%) of the sample feel pain when waking up. TMJ disorders in patients with psoriasis are associated with the duration and severity of the injury and their incidence increases with generalized plaque pattern and when psoriatic arthritis is present.

Correlation between Reperfusion Time and Left Ventricular End-Diastolic Pressure in Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients with St-Segment Elevation Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Journal ID : AMJ-03-04-2023-11402; Author : Muhammad Abdul Basith, Hendry Purnasidha Bagaswoto, Putrika Prastuti Ratna Gharini,
Abstract : ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a transmural infarction caused by a total occlusion in the coronary flow where mechanical reperfusion therapy with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is initially recommended. The STEMI can decrease left ventricular compliance, resulting in diastolic dysfunction, which can cause an increase in left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) in the early stages. Prolonged reperfusion time has been associated with increased LVEDP, although the mechanism remains unclear. This research aims to determine the correlation between reperfusion time and LVEDP in STEMI undergoing primary PCI. Research Methods This research is Analytic observational with a cross-sectional study conducted at RSUP dr. Sardjito in September-October 2022. The population was all STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI. The data included demographic profile, comorbidities, coronary profile, and reperfusion time. The invasive procedure took the value of LVEDP in the cath lab after primary PCI. Results found From 31 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the median reperfusion time was 170 minutes (120-6360 minutes), and the median LVEDP was 20 mmHg (10-32 mmHg). In correlation analysis with Spearman, there was a significant correlation between reperfusion time and LVEDP (p=0.001) with a strong correlation coefficient (r=0.630). In multivariate analysis, there were variables with a significant relationship to LVEDP, including age (p=0.001; r=0.147) and IRA (p=0.001; r=4.080). There is a significant correlation between reperfusion time and LVEDP in STEMI undergoing primary PCI.

Abstract : Nursing education is a process of theoretical knowledge and practical techniques needed by nursing students. Students who do not have previous practical experience are at risk of experiencing a mental workload, which can impact achievement, health, mental/emotional, social aspects, communication, and quality of life. This study aims to develop mental measurement workload in nursing students during clinical learning. Use mixed methods to combine or associate qualitative and quantitative data in 2021, with 596 participants from four vertical hospitals on the island of Java, Indonesia. Data analysis using Explorative Factor Analysis. The development process includes collecting quantitative and qualitative data, analyzing data results, making instruments, managing sample and population needs, validity and reliability testing instruments, modelling, and pilot projects and development. The results of measuring the student measuring instrument before the interaction obtained a value of 97.4% with a value of α = 0.993 (α> 0.7). The validity and reliability tests on the observation questionnaire consisted of 6 test results, namely before and during the interaction, which consisted of the orientation, identification, exploration, and resolution stages, then after interaction with the results of the validity and reliability tests in each phase had a Cronbach value> 0.7. The analysis with multiple regression, namely CFA analysis of the Lisrel program, obtained eigenvalue> 1, p-value> 0.5, and RMSEA <0.08. Our findings highlight that the developed instrument has a significant effectiveness value for measuring the mental workload of nursing students during clinical learning.
