Abstract : Weavers in Pakkanna Village, Wajo Regency have weight-related risk factors in the obesity category (37.5%), age in the late adulthood category (34.4%), work environment, as well as static and repetitive work over long periods of time. These risk factors can cause Musculoskeletal Disorders and work fatigue. Therefore, this study aims to provide evidence of Workplace Stretching Exercises (WSE) for weavers in Pakkanna Village, Wajo Regency. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method using a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with 32 respondents. The research instrument was to measure Musculoskeletal Disorders using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire. The intervention was conducted from 24 October 2022 - 7 November 2022 while the weavers were working. The results of the study on test statistics of Musculoskeletal Disorders with direct practice WSE intervention obtained Z value = -2.646 and p < 0.05 and after WSE with video as the media the Z-value = 8.125 and p < 0.05. Therefore, WSE with direct practice intervention and video media can statistically affect Musculoskeletal Disorders positively. There was a difference in the mean of musculoskeletal disorders before and after the provision of WSE with direct practice on weavers in Pakkanna village. There was a difference in the mean of Musculoskeletal Disorders before and after providing WSE with video media to weavers in Pakkanna village. However, there was no significant difference between providing WSE with direct practice and video media in affecting Musculoskeletal Disorders.

Relationship Between Marker Levels Of Endothelial Glycocalyx Damage And Endothelial Damage Biomarkers With Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation In Sepsis Patients

Abstract : A healthy endothelium is covered by a layer of endothelial glycocalyx, which functions to maintain the endothelial lining. As a woven structure, the endothelial glycocalyx extends over the luminal surface of the endothelium. Endothelial dysfunction is hypothesized to contribute to the incidence of DIC significantly. Endothelium activation and endothelium damage are the initial manifestations of coagulopathy in sepsis. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the levels of endothelial glycocalyx damage biomarkers (syndecan-1) and endothelial damage biomarkers (PAI-1, Thrombomodulin, and ADAMTS13) and the incidence of DIC in sepsis. To analyze the relationship between glycocalyx and endothelial damage with the incidence of DIC and predictor markers of DIC incidence in sepsis patients. From October to December 2022, an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital and Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar. The research participants were sepsis patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The statistical test utilized SPSS version 25 with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for data normality, the bivariate test utilized the unpaired t-test, and the multivariate analysis employed multiple logistic regression tests and examined the Odds Ratio value. The statistical test results were significant if the p-value < 0.05. This study included 55 patients diagnosed with sepsis, with a distribution of 29 men and 26 women. The results showed no relationship between syndecan-1, PAI-1, and thrombomodulin levels and the incidence of DIC in septic patients (p=0.480,0.122, 0.688). There is a relationship between ADAMTS13 levels and the incidence of DIC in septic patients (p=0.024). Using multiple logistic regression tests, the ADAMTS13 biomarker is a biomarker that can be used as a screening biomarker for DIC events in sepsis patients (OR=0.889, CI 95% =0.802-0.986). There is a relationship between endothelial damage with the ADAMTS13 biomarker and DIC in sepsis, and the ADAMTS13 biomarker can be used as a screening tool for DIC in sepsis.

Achievement Of The Maternal Role In Pregnancy During The Covid Pandemic

Abstract : Achieving the role of being a mother is a very important thing in a pregnancy and it requires an adaptation process. The COVID-19 pandemic situation which requires a change in the new habit order causes more stress for pregnant women in adapting to the achievement of their new role. This study aims to determine the achievement of the role of motherhood during the pregnancy period during the Covid 19 pandemic. This is a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional design. The number of research subjects is 99 taken from the entire population or total sampling. Data were collected using the instrument "What Being the Parent of a New Baby is Like: Revision of an Instrument (WPL-R)" and analyzed by logistic regression. Parity and occupation affect the achievement of the mother's role during pregnancy with a significance value of <0.05. Parity is the most influential factor on the achievement of the role of pregnant women in Bandarharjo Village, North Semarang, Semarang, Central Java with an OR value of 10.759 and p value of 0.000.

The Prevalence of Underweight, Stunted, And Wasted, and the Risk Factors That Influence It in Infants Under Six Months

Abstract : The prevalence of malnutrition is still a significant worldwide problem. WHO states that 45% of child deaths worldwide are related to undernutrition. The study aims to know the prevalence of underweight, stunted, and wasted and the risk factors that influence it in infants under six months. The study method is a cross-sectional analysis of infant nutritional status parameters in healthy infants under six months. The study was established at 10 Community Health Centers in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Indonesia, from June 2020 to June 2021. This study recruited 423 healthy infants, 223 (52.7%) boys and 200 (47.3%) girls aged 1-6 months. The prevalence of underweight, stunted, and wasted were 0.9%, 0.5%, and 13.5%, respectively. There is a significant relationship between maternal age and infant nutritional status based on BMI for age (p=0.025). There is a significant relationship between maternal education and infant nutritional status based on weight for length (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between maternal occupation and infant nutritional status based on weight for length and body mass index (BMI) for age (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between family income and infant nutritional status based on weight for age and weight for length (p<0.05). There is no association between infant nutritional status, maternal parity, and exclusive breastfeeding practices. Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between maternal education, maternal occupation, and family income with undernutrition in infants under six months.

Association Between Level of Vitamin D with Degree of Disease Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammation, multisystemic autoimmune disease that accounts for nearly 18 percent of all deaths. Etiology is remain unknown, but interaction between genetic factor and environment can activate the immune response. DAS 28 is a scoring system to assess the disease activity of RA. Vitamin D is produce from UV exposure and dietary intake. Vitamin D can suppres the immune system by maintain the balance between TH-1 and TH-2 and also can reduce the inflammation by inhibit cytokine proinflammation. This research is a cross-sectional study, conducted from July 2022 to December 2022 at the Makassar rheumatology clinic, Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo and its network. The subject is patients with rheumatoid arthritis according to ACR/EULAR 2010 who meet inclusion criteria. The degree of disease activity was assessed by DAS 28, then divided into 3 groups (mild, moderate, and severe). 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 was measure by the ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) with results in ng/mL units of measure. Data analysis used SPSS version 22 and spearman correlation test. In this study, a value (rs: -0.998) was obtained, there was a strong relationship between vitamin D levels and degree of RA disease activity, which is the lower the vitamin D levels, followed by an increase in RA disease activity. An inverse relationship was found between vitamin D levels and the degree of disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis.
