Abstract : Since ancient times, eating wild plants has been a crucial component of human diet and traditional medicine. Nevertheless, despite all of the presumptions. First, it is acknowledged that wild vegetation is a valuable source of nourishment and is safe to eat. In this review plant secondary metabolites are discussed such as flavonoids, phenolic acid, anthocyanins, tannins, terpenoids, steroidal saponins, glucosinolates which are very helpful to human and animal health. If we explore some more about Rumex then twenty-nine Rumex species' & two hundred sixty-nine chemical compounds have so far been made public. Important phytochemicals such as anthraquinones, flavonoids, tannins, stilbenes, naphthalene, diterpene alkaloids, terpenes, and lignans all have a variety of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, and anticancer effects.

Factors influencing the Smile analysis

Abstract : Smile design refers to the many scientific and artistic principles that considered collectively can create a beautiful smile. These principles are established through data collected from patients, diagnostic models, dental research, scientific measurements, and basic artistic concepts of beauty. From the patient’s perspective, beauty measures that individual’s perception of beauty as noted in the saying: ‘‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’’ That perception of beauty may also be influenced by cultural, ethnic, or racial concepts of beauty and may vary from the standards established in the North American dental community. When planning treatment for esthetic cases, smile design cannot be isolated from a comprehensive approach to patient care. Achieving a successful, healthy, and functional result requires an understanding of the interrelationship among all the supporting oral structures, including the muscles, bones, joints, gingival tissues, and occlusion. Gaining this understanding requires collecting all the data necessary to properly evaluate all the structures of the oral complex. The face, lips, gingival tissues, and teeth must all be examined, evaluated, and their overall appearance must be taken into consideration in order to create the perfect smile. The symmetry and harmony of the facial and dental characteristics are necessary for such a perfect smile. The teeth's location, color, and form all play a role in the equation. The importance of understanding that the anterior teeth play a crucial part in the patient's dental health and that form always follows function cannot be overstated. When assessing and arranging esthetic situations, a thorough approach may help patients have the smile that best complements their entire facial look and offers the added advantage of improved dental health. The objective of this article is to review and discuss criterion adopted by dental literature to technically analyze the smile, such as dental midline, smile line, dental exposure, negative space, dental proportion, and symmetry.

Torbangun Leaves Extract Cream Effect on Maintaining pH and Moisture of Skin Exposed to UVA and UVB Lights

Abstract : The skin is the largest organ of the body and is responsible for the protection of other tissue beneath it from environmental exposure, which made skin exposed to most environmental agents. UV light is one of the environmental agents that commonly damaged the skin, from causing dry skin to triggering the development of cancer. Torbangun (Coleus amboinicus Lour) leaves, which are commonly used as lactagogue agents in Bataknese society, are rich in flavonoid and phenolic contents. Both of these phytochemicals are strong anti-oxidant agents, which help maintain the skin's moisture level, and in turn, the skin's pH. This study aims to explore the potency of torbangun leaf extract cream as a skin moisturizer and pH controller. This study was an experimental study with a randomized pretest-posttest with a control group design. The experiment in this study involved 28 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) which were grouped into seven different groups with different interventions and the same induction of UVA and UVB exposure. Data of this study found that torbangun leaves extract cream with a concentration as low as 5% performed as well as Vaseline® Healthy White at maintaining skin moisture level (p<0.05), but show no difference in controlling the skin pH level compared to the base cream (p>0.05). It can be concluded that torbangun leaves extract cream can be utilized as a moisturizer or to prevent dry skin due to UVA and UVB exposure.

Comparison of Esmolol and Labetalol effects on hemodynamic changes in Electro Convulsive Therapy: a randomized controlled trial

Abstract : Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is one of the most effective treatments for many psychiatric disorders. Despite being a well-established as a safe method, ECT has many side effects such as cardiovascular complications. This condition may need special intervention or management during ECT, especially in patients with known cardiovascular disease. Esmolol and Labetalol are two beta blockers that could apply to keep patients off these complications. The present study aimed to compare the effect of prophylactic administration of Esmolol and Labetalol on heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) in ECT. In this double-blind clinical trial study, 83 ECT candidate patients were divided into three groups randomly. Labetalol, Esmolol, and normal saline (as a placebo) were administered to groups first, second and third respectively. Collected data from HR and BP that had been recorded before, during, and after ECT were analyzed and interpreted. There were no significant different between three groups in mean of SBP, DBP and MBP. Mean of HR in Labetalol group and mean of SPO2 in Esmolol group were the lowest. Patients who were given normal saline had shorter recovery time with more tachycardia alternatively hypotension was observed in Labetalol and Esmolol groups further. Lower heart rate and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in Esmolol and Labetalol groups respectively, suggested taking advantage of these medicines, especially in cardiovascular patients who are candidates for ECT.

Preparation of New Cd (II) complex from 2- (Metoclopramideazo) 4,5-diphenylimidazole

Abstract : The study concern with the ability of azo dye(C29H31N6O2Cl),2- (Metoclopramideazo) 4,5-diphenylimidazole (MADI) for forming complex with Cd(II), The optimum conditions for forming stable azo dye- complex was studied like pH effect, time effect and sequence of addition of reagents, Spectral studies of the complex from calibration curve of complex, Sandell sensitivity 4.92× 10-3 µg .cm-2, Detection limit 0.00127 µg ml-1, Standard devation 0.00193, Correlation coefficient 0.9942 molar absorbitivity 2.2817 ×104 L.mol-1.cm-1, specific absorbtivity 0.203 ml.g-1.cm-1. Obeying of Beer's law region was determined for complex (0.5-4) ppm. The study of effect the interference of some important ions. The stiochiometry of formed complex was studied by using molar ratios method, Continuous variation method. The results show the dye (MADI) forms (1:2) (metal : Ligand ) complex with metal studied, also this complex had been characterized by (UV-Visible), (FT-IR) according to the different of shift, relativity abundance of same active groups bundle complex comparison with privately dyes, the azo group (-N=N-) and (C=N) groups.
