Journal ID : AMJ-22-12-2022-10951; Author : Maria Debora Niken Larasati, Wimbo Sasono, Nurwasis, I Ketut Sudiana, Chrismawan Ardianto, Mercia Chrysanti, Amelia Shinta,
Abstract : Resveratrol has antioxidant, anti-inflamation, and neuroprotective effects in oxidative stress induced by ischemic reperfusion injury in eyes with IOP elevation. This study aimed to investigate the protection effect of resveratrol against oxidative stress in retinal ganglion cells. Retinal ischemia was induced by increasing intraocular pressure to 110 mmHg for 60 minutes in 20 adult male Rattus Norvegicus rats. Resveratrol (RSV) suspension of 100M in 2L PBS was injected intravitreally 3 hours after reperfusion. After 7 days, rat’s eye was enucleated. Primary SOD-1 antibody (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc.) and MDA antibody (Biorbyt Ltd.) was used to determine the SOD-1 and MDA expression in retinal ganglion cells. SOD1 expression was significantly decreased between control group and both of ischemic group (p value <0.001) and MDA level was increased after ischemic-reperfusion (IR) injury (p value <0.01). Comparison between IR+RSV group and both of IR groups was increase significantly: IR0 group (p value <0.05); IR7 group (p value <0.01), respectively. There was also significant decreased of MDA expression between resveratrol group (IR+RSV) and IR0 (p=0.030), also IR7 group (p=0.006) respectively. Resveratrol protects retinal ganglion cells from oxidative stress after IR injury by increasing SOD1 expression as antioxidant enzyme and then reducing malondialdehyde as oxidative stress marker.

The Effectiveness of Online Course about Pain Management and Local Anesthesia Methods for Undergraduate Dental Students
Journal ID : AMJ-22-12-2022-10950; Author : Enass Shamsy, Mayssoon Dashash,
Abstract : Local anesthesia (LA) is the most commonly method for pain control during dental procedures. Dentists should have the knowledge, skills and attitude about LA. Therefore, this study aimed at evaluating online course about dental pain management and local anesthesia methods used in dentistry. A total of fifty-four dental students who accepted to participate in this study were included. An online course composed of six-module was developed. Students' knowledge was assessed by comparing their learning before and after their participation using identical pre and post-test. According to Chi-Square statistics, significant difference at P < 0.05 was found between the correct answers of participants in pre-tests and post-tests which indicates that the level of learning was significantly higher after the participation of the online course. The use of online educational course is effective in developing dental students' knowledge of dental pain management and the local anesthesia methods used in dentistry.

Satisfaction of Pregnant Women with Obstetric Care Services in the Hospital
Journal ID : AMJ-22-12-2022-10949; Author : Sajidah Saadoon oleiwi, Haqi Ismael Mansoor, Zaki Sabah Musihb,
Abstract : Maternal satisfaction considers one of the most common measurements to report the outcome for the quality of care and must increase to enhance the efficiency and quality of care during the periods of antenatal, natal, and postnatal to give high-quality care services to the maternal. To assess women's satisfaction to the obstetric care services in maternity hospitals in most areas of care such as Labor unit, Maternity unit. A descriptive design that is adequately constructed to measure women's satisfaction with obstetric care. A non-probability (purposive) sample of (50) women attending government hospitals served as the study's main data collection method. The questionnaire included two main parts. (demographic information, and Satisfaction scale concerning obstetric care service). Most of the study sample (46%) were in age 26 – 30 years, and (26 %) were in the age group (20 – 25). years that 42% of the study sample were graduated from primary school, 38% were graduated from not writing and read and 14% were graduated from college and institution that most of the items with a high mean score in satisfying related to ward services and that the majority of items had an increased mean score in satisfying general services. The highest percentage of the study samples forty-six percent in age young group, we're living in the rural study sample were graduated from primary school, Findings demonstrated that the majority of items had high mean scores in satisfying related to delivery services also the majority of the women were found to be highly satisfied with the services received in maternity. The study's researcher advises enhancing nurses' practice when doing procedures by enrolling them in training courses. Increase the number of nurses working in hospitals to provide equal care for all hospitalized women and to reduce the likelihood of complications. Insist on the necessity of the Ministry of Health imposing sanctions against the nurse in the event that she accepts payment or employs abusive language.

Association between medication adherence of oral corticosteroid based on MMAS-8 Score and SLEDAI Score in SLE children
Journal ID : AMJ-21-12-2022-10946; Author : Dedi Irwanto, Rita Evalina, Yunnie Trisnawati, Rina Amelia, Melda Deliana, Ika Citra Dewi Tanjung,
Abstract : Childhood-onset SLE is characterized by periods of flares and remissions. The SLEDAI score is one of the systems used to assess SLE activity. Long-term use of high-dose corticosteroids is associated with an increased risk of infection, metabolic and musculoskeletal diseases. This condition can cause non-adherence to taking medication in SLE patients. Medication adherence was assessed using the MMAS-8 Questionnaire. The study is to determine the association between medication adherence of oral corticosteroids based on MMAS-8 score with SLEDAI scores in SLE children at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. A retrospective observational study on 21 SLE children at Haji Adam Malik Hospital Medan who had received corticosteroid treatment for at least 3 months from May to July 2022. SLEDAI scores and adherence to corticosteroid medication were assessed using the MMAS-8 questionnaire. 21 samples were assessed for SLEDAI scores and adherence to taking corticosteroid medications using the MMAS-8 questionnaire. Most of the subjects showed a high level of compliance amounting to 9 people (42.9%). Kruskal Wallis test showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of treatment adherence and SLE disease activity at control time (p = 0.002). The Wilcoxon test showed that there was no difference in the mean score of SLEDAI between before and after treatment (p = 0.057). There is a relationship between medication adherence of oral corticosteroids based on MMAS-8 score with SLEDAI scores in SLE children at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan.

ACUTE TOXICITY TEST (LC50) TANNING LIQUID WASTE AGAINST TILAPIA MORTALITY (Oreochromis niloticus)
Journal ID : AMJ-20-12-2022-10943; Author : Dwi Astuti, Normah Awang, Mohd Sham Bin Othman, Nurul Farahana Binti Kamaludin, Chan Kok Meng, M. Mutalazimah,
Abstract : The liquid waste of the tanning industry contains chromium metal of a toxic nature. The heavy metal chromium has high solubility and toxicity and is toxic to living things with a concentration of more than 0.05 ppm. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a toxicity test to determine the level of danger from wastewater if it is discharged into the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of LC concentration of 50 96 hours from tanning liquid waste to tilapia mortality (Oreochromis niloticus). The method used in this study is an experimental method. The data used is in the form of primary data and secondary data. The measured wastewater parameters are temperature, pH, BOD, COD, TSS, Cr, oil and fat, ammonia, sulfide, and nitrogen. Data analysis using probit analysis. The results of this study show that LC 50 96 hours is 261,3 ppm, so tanning wastewater needs to be treated first before being discharged into the environment.
