The prognostic value of serum uric acid in critically ill Covid-19 patients

Abstract : The severity of infection with Covid-19 ranging from asymptomatic infection to a serious infection that requires mechanical ventilation. This discrepancy underscores the need for new biomarkers related to the course and progression of the disease. Our aim in our article was to evaluate the effect of serum uric acid, which is an easily available, low-cost, and reliable marker on the severity of Covid-19, and the possibility of using it as a warning indicator and a useful indicator in the follow-u

Effectiveness of Moringa Honey on Viability of gut Bifidobacterium sp., Lactobacillus sp., Clostridium sp., and Escherichia coli in Anemia Pregnant Women: A randomized controlled trial

Abstract : Anemia is a common condition during pregnancy that is characterized by low levels of hemoglobin, which can have negative effects on both the mother and the baby. Previous studies have shown that iron supplementation can improve hemoglobin levels, but in this study wanted to evaluate the effect on the viability of gut Bifidobacterium sp., Lactobacillus sp., Clostridium sp., and Escherichia coli in anemia pregnant women from Moringa honey. This randomized controlled trial (RCT) involved pregnant a

Atypical Prostatic Stromal Sarcoma Presented With T2WI Central Heterogeneous Hyperintense Lesion Showing Peripheral Zone & Peri Prostatic Fat Invasion :a case report.

Abstract : We present a case of neglected atypical high grade prostatic stromal sarcoma (PSS) at the transitional zone, invading the peripheral zone, prostatic capsule & peri prostatic fat reaching to pelvic side wall, it showed T2WI hyperintense signal (compared to typical cases of PSS showing T2WI hypointense signal) corresponding to developing on top of pre-existing nodular hyperplasia. Careful reviewing of prostatic central / transitional zone lesions is mandatory especially at T2WI, diffusion & contra

A Histological and Radiographical Comparison Between Split-bone block and Cortico-Cancellous Block Graft Utilized for Horizontal Ridge Augmentation

Abstract : This randomized clinical trial evaluated the histological and radiographical characteristics of bone regeneration after horizontal alveolar ridge augmentation using two different surgical approaches. The study randomized 20 patients into two groups: split-bone block group and cortico-cancellous bone block group. The grafts were obtained from the mandibular symphysis in both groups. Radiographic bone density of the augmented sites was measured by CBCT scans at baseline and 6 months post-operative

A Comparison Between Split-Block Graft and Cortico-cancellous Block Graft for Horizontal Ridge Augmentation: A Randomized Clinical Trail

Abstract : The alveolar ridge undergoes both horizontal and vertical resorption following tooth extraction, accompanied by alterations in the structure and composition of the overlying soft tissues. These changes compromise the optimal three-dimensional implant placement and necessitate bone augmentation procedures in such scenarios. The aim of this study was to compare the dimensional changes after horizontal alveolar ridge augmentation for the anterior maxilla, using split-block bone graft and cortico-ca
