Tracking the Phylogenetic Origins of Shigella Species in Al-Diwaniyah City

Abstract : About 200 samples of various patients who were hospitalized to the general hospital, the teaching hospital for women and children, and the Al-Diwaniyah teaching hospital between November 2020 and May 2021 yielded a total of 20 Shigella species isolates. The isolates were identified using traditional methods and polymerase chain reaction technique, named as No.1 to No.20. The whole genomic DNA of twenty isolates, as No.1 to No.20 isolated from different geographic regions of Iraq, was extracted.

Bilateral Hearing Loss After Infected With Covid-19

Abstract : This shows that SARS CoV-2 affects sensory neurons because loss of taste and smell is one of the most obvious symptoms of COVID-19 infection. It is therefore thought that the same virus might harm other senses, like hearing. The evaluation of the auditory condition initially necessitates knowing the hearing thresholds (sound intensity) in the ranges of the audible speech frequencies, which is what pure tone audiometry treats. This is in contrast to taste and smell, which do not require measuring

The Correlation Of Serum Ferritin Level and Disease Activity of Systemic Lupus Erythematous Based on SLEDAI score in Children at H Adam Malik Hospital, Medan

Abstract : Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimun inflammation disease. Ferritin is an acute protein phase that increased in inflammatory process and autoimmune disorder. To investigate the correlation of serum ferritin levels and disease activity of systemic lupus erythematosus based on SLEDAI score. The study design was an analytic observational cross sectional design in 30 pediatric patients who have been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in outpatient and inpatient all

The Effect of Two Types of Bleaching Agents on the Surface Roughness of Different Nano-Filled Restorative Materials Using Scanning Electron Microscope

Abstract : The aim of our study was to correlate between two types of office bleaching materials with two different concentrations on surface roughness of composite. We made a forty five cylindrical specimens which were divided into three groups: Group A (Voco): Subdivided into: A1 (no bleaching): Specimens were placed for two weeks in artificial saliva. A2: In which office bleaching agent containing 35% HP was applied on composite specimens. A3: In which office bleaching agent containing 32% HP was applie

Clinical, Biochemical parameters and its Co-relation with Quality of Life in Congenital Hypothyroidism-A Cross sectional study from a Tertiary Centre in South India

Abstract : Congenital hypothyroidism (CH) is one of the most common preventable causes of intellectual disability worldwide. The present study aims to study subjects with congenital hyperthyroidism with their clinical, etiological and demographical profile. Correlations between age at first treatment, length of treatment, initial levothyroxine (LT4) dose, and serum free thyroxine (fT4) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels and pediatric quality of life in patients with CH. 51 children diagnosed wit
