Comparative Study of the Effect of MTAD Irrigation Solution Activated By Laser on the Micro-Hardness of the Radicular Dentin

Abstract : The work aims to compare the influence of irrigation solution MTAD when activated by laser and without activation on the root dentin micro-hardness (MH). Thirty root samples were prepared into two equal halves for dentin MH measurements. The sixty root halves were subdivided equally into three groups (twenty samples each) according to the utilized irrigation solution: MTAD activated by laser, MTAD non-activated by laser and deionized water (control group). Samples from each group were used for d

Glomerular Filtration Rate Outcome in Stented versus Non-Stented Dismembered Pyeloplasty in Patients with Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction: A Comparative Prospective Randomized Controlled Study

Abstract : To compare the outcomes of management of ureteropelvic junction obstruction by open pyeloplasty using a stent or without a stent. Operating on a total of 48 patients diagnosed with UPJO randomly allocated to either group (I): patients managed with double J stent including 24 patients or group (II): the non-stented group (24 cases). Dismembered pyeloplasty was performed for the two groups. The obtained results showed that, after 1 week of the surgical procedure, group (II) had a significantly hig

The Effect of Myrtus Communis Extracts on the Pathogenic Salmonella SPP. Isolated from Milk and Soft Cheese in Baghdad City

Assessment Of Uranium Concentrations In Blood Samples For Women With Breast Cancer In Babil Governorate- Iraq

Abstract : The object of this project is to determine the concentrations of “uranium” concentration in human blood in 60 selected breast cancer patients (i.e., 30 with cancer and 30 healthy) Babylon Governorate, Iraq. in different ages. By using CR-39, the results indication that the maximum “uranium” concentration in b1ood (2.235ppm) and the minimum concentration (1.034ppm) with the mean uranium concentration in b1ood of patients was (1.7901ppm), while healthy where the maximum value (1.163ppm) Th

Effect of Simvastatine Drug and Aqueous Extracts in Improvement Kidney Functions and Renal Histological Lesion in Hyperlipidemia Induction Experimentally

Abstract : The present study was designed to detect the histopathological and physiological changes in kidney which resulted from hyperlipidemia and treatment of it by simvastatin and aqueous extracts of garlic, cinnamon and mint. Fifty four for male rats were divided randomly into nine groups, the first group (control) received diet without cholesterol while the second group administrated cholesterol for inducing hyperlipidemia induction, the third group treated with simvastatin after hyperlipidemia induc
