Nano-Treatment of Some Heavy Metals in Industrial Wastewater Using Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles

Abstract : In this study, the nanotreatment of industrial wastewater was used, which included industrial machinery cooling waste water, dairy waste water, and copper industry water. Nanoremediation involves the use of nanoparticles of zinc oxide (ZnO). They are water-insoluble particles, which have been highlighted in water treatment including industrial wastewater contaminated with toxic metals. Different concentrations of zinc oxide nanoparticles were used, ranging from (0.1 mg/L) to (1g/100 mL). They we

ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC HEALTH RISK EXPOSURE TO THE HEAVY METAL MERCURY (Hg) THROUGH THE CONSUMPTION OF MANGROVE CRAB IN KAYELI BAY MALUKU PROVINCE

Abstract : Mangrove Crab or Scylla Serrata is a source of biodiversity whose habitat is in the mangrove forest in Kayeli Bay which generally grows and develops in coastal areas. Unlicensed gold mining activities on Buru Island resulted in mercury being deposited at the bottom of the river and the waters of Kayeli Bay. This will increase the potential for bioaccumulation and bioconcentration of mercury in mangrove crabs. The purpose of the Research is to determine the level of accumulation of heavy metal Hg

The Effect of Apium graveolens (Linn.) Extract on the Number of Neutrophils and Angiogenesis in Wound Incision of Sprague Dawley Rat

Abstract : Wounds were a challenging clinical problem that often caused morbidity and mortality. Apium graveolens (Linn.) was an herbal plant that had anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects which were considered to accelerate the wound healing process. The number of neutrophils and angiogenesis was an element that played an important role in the wound healing process. Thus, the administration of Apium graveolens (Linn.) extract was expected to help in the process of wound healing which could be viewed

THE USEFULLNESS OF TRANSESOPHAGEAL ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY GUIDANCE DURING TRANS CATHETER CLOSURE OF VENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECT WITHOUT FLUOROSCOPY

Abstract : Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (PmVSD) is one of the most common type of congenital heart abnormality. Transcatheter closure of PmVSD is an emerging alternative modality to surgical closure, but has high radiation exposure. We reported a transcatheter VSD closure in PmVSD’s patient through femoral venous route under the guidance of Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), without fluoroscopy. The catheter’s delivery and device deployment guided by long axis and short axis TEE’s v

Prediction Model of Quality of Life Based on Lifestyle in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients with Peripheral Neuropathy

Abstract : Diabetes mellitus and its complications like peripheral neuropathy are priority non-communicable diseases that the number of patients increased over time. This condition will result in a progressive decrease in the life quality of patients. Controlled risk factors to decrease quality of life needs to be done, one of the most important risk factors is a lifestyle. This study was to create a prediction model of quality of life-based on lifestyle in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with peripheral
