Title : Synthesis and Spectral Identification of Oxazepine Derivatives

Abstract : In the presence of ethanol and glacial acetic acids, benzene-1,4-diamine reacted with aromatic aldehydes such as 3-phenylprop-2-enal to generate the imine group known as Schiff bases. Schiff bases IIIA N,N'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(3-phenylprop-2-en-1-imine). treated with anhydride furan-2,5-dione and aromatic anhydride 2-benzofuran-1,3-dione to produced Oxazepine derivatives IVA and IVB respectively. These structures of synthetic oxazepine have been characterized by using FTIR, mass spectral, and elemental analyses. The purity quality of the compounds was done using TLC.
