Abstract : Clinical education is a process of behavior change that occurs in individuals because of a structured or unstructured process. The learning outcomes of clinical educators are prepared for competent clinical educators so that the competence of new nurses can be achieved. The aim of this study is to analyze determine clinical education model based on experiental learning to improve competence of preceptor. This use explanatory research approach carried out on educators clinical in the IHC Hospital environment with multistage sampling technique random sampling a number of 160 respondents. The sampling technique used was multistage random sampling. Analysis of this study using SEM- PLS. The data research instrument in this study was analyzed using Partial Least Square. Clinical education intervention clinical nursing education using experiential learning-based preceptorship methods to improve clinical educator learning outcomes, including clinical educator characteristics (t = 4.070; p < .001), new nurse characteristics (t = 9.493; p < .001), job characteristics (t = 4.021; p < .001), and facility characteristics (t = 2.789; p < 0.001). The research found that Learning Clinical education using experiential learning-based preceptorship methods can improve the competence of clinical educators, including improving critical thinking, patient safety, leadership, communication, research-based practice, and professional development.
