Padiatric BCG Vaccinee and IgE Responses

Abstract : Fifteen from each of the study groups selected on the bases of simple random sampling were blood collected and sera saved. Total IgE assay was done to each serum in duplicate for each of the individuals forming these test groups using the ELISA IgE Kit. Minimum IgE concentrations for the BCG vaccine groups were found to be lower than that of the nonvaccine control group. This may be attributed to the presence of a tolerogenic epitope ensemble within the BCG antigenic structure. BCG vaccine group

Association of the leptin gene (rs7799039) polymorphism with infertility in Iraqi women

Abstract : Obesity and Type-2 diabetes mellitus regarded chronic metabolic disease and main causes of infertility in women. obesity lead to increase of Leptin hormone level which synthesis by adipose cells and enterocytes and cause systemic hormonal imbalance. Ninety Iraqi women were enrolled as a samples in this study collected from Women's Hospital in Karbala City and teaching hospital and the women and children hospital of Al-Diwaniyah province from October 2020 to January 2021. Sixty infertility women

Abstract : Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of skin cancer and frequently appears in the centre of the face, particularly the nose. Long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation is a risk factor for BCC. Biopsy findings routinely confirm the clinical diagnosis. Complete surgical resection is most commonly used in the treatment of facial skin cancer, and the methods used for defect closure are primary closure, local flaps and skin grafts. This article reports a 73-year-old man who complained

Serum PCSK9, lipid profile and fasting blood glucose levels in a samples of Iraqi patient and role in developing of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.

Abstract : Pro-protein convertase subtilisin kexin-9 (PCSK9) is a protein that regulates the expression of low-density lipoprotein receptors (LDLR) and has critical role in the initiation and progression of the atherosclerotic process. This study aimed to quantify the concentration of PCSK9 protein, total lipid profile and fasting blood glucose (FBG) levels in the serum sample of Iraqi patient with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (ASCAD) and compared to healthy control groups. The present study inc

Detection of Gastrointestinal Lesions Causing Iron Deficiency Anemia by Upper With or Without Lower GI Endoscopy in the Egyptian Society

Abstract : Most gastrointestinal lesions cause iron-deficiency anemia. Endoscopy of the upper and lower digestive tracts is indicated for IDA patients because most sources of gastrointestinal hemorrhage can be found. Clinical history can predict positive GI endoscopic findings, but its sensitivity in detecting specific lesions, including GI neoplasia, is limited. This study included 1064 IDA patients who had upper and lower GI endoscopies to determine the efficacy of upper and lower endoscopy in diagnosing

Histopathological Correlation of ABO Blood Type Antigen Expression in Rectum Tissue in Rectal Adenocarcinoma Patients

Abstract : Early detection is essential to reduce cancer mortality worldwide, including rectal cancer. One factor positively correlated with the incidence of rectal adenocarcinoma is the ABO blood group antigen. However, the use of the ABO antigen as a biomarker in colon cancer screening has not been widely studied. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the expression of ABO blood group antigens in patients with rectal adenocarcinoma based on the immunohistochemical method. The research was

The Role of ATM gene in Iraqi Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Radiotherapy

Abstract : A 350-kDa protein is encoded by the ataxia telangiectasia mutated gene (ATM), a potential breast cancer risk gene. and is one of the fundamental components of the DNA-damage response system. The current study aimed to determine the function of inhibitory and regulatory gene ATM in the etiology of breast cancer in Iraqi women by identifying radiotherapy's detrimental impact on molecular factors about 10-20 Gy locally gamma cells, which may have an impact on cancer patients' genetic material (DNA)

Abstract : Necrotizing cellulitis is a necrotizing infection with or without gas formation localized to the skin and subcutaneous tissue but does not involve the underlying fascia and muscles. Management should prioritize timely diagnosis and intervention with appropriate management and antibiotics. It is reported that a 67-year-old male patient with necrotizing cellulitis on the left leg with culture results of staphylococcus aureus was given broad-spectrum systemic antibiotic therapy according to the sen

Purification and Study the Kinetics Properties of Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase from Pediatric Patients with Favism Disease

Abstract : In Iraq, The glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase gene is an x-linked disease, and its deficiency is common throughout the world. This study was conducted to purify Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase from favism patients and determination [Km, Vmax], and study the effect of optimum temperature, substrate, PH for G6pd in patient and control, the ongoing review presumed that the ideal pH of the enzymatic concentrate was in the reach [8-8.4]. the chemical has the most elevated compelling enzymatic at 8

Differences between vitamin D levels in premature neonates with respiratory Distress and without respiratory distress

Abstract : Respiratory distress is associated with lung maturation and vitamin D which is explained by the mechanism of production and secretion of phospholipids (surfactants) on the surface of type II alveolar cells (ATII). To determine the differences between in vitamin D levels in premature neonates with respiratory distress in premature neonates and without respiratory distress. Analytical analyses with a case-control study in premature neonates who experienced respiratory distress at the H. Adam Malik
