Evaluation of high viscosity bulk fill composite, conventional incremental composite and compomer restorations in primary molars: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Abstract : This randomized controlled clinical trial is aimed to evaluate the clinical performance of high viscosity bulk fill resin composite and compomer in the restoration of second mandibular primary molars compared to conventional incremental resin composite. The studied sample consisted of 60 second mandibular primary molars in 59 children aged between 5-8 years, these cases were allocated randomly into three groups: Group 1 (experimental, n=20): High Viscosity Bulk Fill Resin composite (HVBFC), Grou

A new template for the evaluation of soft tissue Cephalometric Finding for a Sample of Young Adults

Abstract : The patient’s facial appearance is one of the major determinants of the success of orthodontic treatment. An understanding of the facial soft tissues and their normal ranges enables a treatment plan to be formulated to normalize the facial traits for a given individual. Thus daily clinical practice enneads for an easy way to evaluate the patients’ soft tissue. The aim of this study is construct a new simple soft tissue template based and correlating on Arnett’s analysis. One hundred patien

Comparison Of Microbial Colonization Between Vicryl and Vicryl Plus Following Surgical Removal of Third Molars

Abstract : The aim of this study was to compare the microbial colonization in suture threads between Vicryl plus Vicryl and following third molar surgical extraction. 26 patients were included in this study for third molar surgical extraction, then a microbiological analysis was conducted using colony forming units (CFUs) count on blood agar plates, 7 days after the surgical procedure. Vicryl group showed higher count of CFUs with a mean of (1501000), and standard deviation (1039500). While, Vicryl plus gr

The effect of brushing the teeth and oral rinse with miswak extract on oral streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus, in children.

Abstract : This research aims to study the effect of brushing teeth with a 50% miswak extract and brushing teeth by using a tooth stick of miswak on cariogenic bacteria such as Streptococcus mutants and Lactobacillus. The saliva of 30 volunteer children in age 6-12 month for long time were collected and separated into two groups and after that analyzed salivary tests some time recently and after brushing the teeth with a miswak extricate 50% and brushing teeth by employing a tooth stick of miswak and exami

An Overview of Patient Satisfaction with Health Service Facilities at Kwaingga Hospital, Keerom Regency

Abstract : The hospital is run by organized, professional medical personnel who provide services to the community so that it provides many results, such as patient satisfaction. This study aims to determine an overview and patient satisfaction with health service facilities at Kwaingga Hospital. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. This research location is the inpatient room of Kwaingga Keerom Hospital. The study was conducted in June 2019. In this study, the population cons

Comparative Evaluation of Canal-Centering Ability of Reciproc-Blue, R-Motion, and WaveOne Gold Reciprocating Systems: An in Vitro Study

Abstract : This study aims to evaluate the canal-centering ability of three single-file reciprocating systems: Reciproc Blue, R Motion, and WaveOne Gold systems. Forty-five S-shaped endodontic resin blocks size #15 were divided into three groups. Each of the groups (n = 15) were prepared, imaged, and analyzed: Group (A) RB system; instrument RB 25/08; Group (B) RM system; instrument RM 25/06; Group (C) WOG system; instrument WOG 25/07. Resin blocks were photographed before and after the preparation in the

DPG prevents DMBA-induced mammary cancer by improving antioxidant biomarkers and downregulating PI3K/AKT/STAT3 signaling pathway

Abstract : Breast cancer has been one of the most prevalent cancers in women worldwide for more than ten years. The current study's objective was to assess DPG's preventive capabilities against DMBA-induced mammary cancer. The rats in this investigation were randomly categorized into six groups i.e. (I) Normal group; (II) was treated with 80 mg/kg b.w. DMBA for 4 weeks; (III and IV) DMBA + DGG (8 and 16 mg/kg); (VI) DMBA + tamoxifen (2 mg/kg.b.w) four weeks starting from the fifth week of DMBA administrati

Number of Lymphocyte B Cells and Level of Immunoglobulin G in Down Syndrome Patients in Indonesia

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to measure the amount of lymphocyte B cells and the level of Immunoglobulin G (IgG) as an indicator of infection susceptibility in DS patients. This research used case-control design. Samples were 20 DS patients, and 25 control non-DS, from 4 to 16 years old. DS patients and non-DS were identified by physical examination and chromosome examination. Venous blood was taken from each subject for chromosome examination, counting the number of lymphocyte B cells CD19+ and

Potential Antimalarial from Prenylated Chalcones of Artocarpus champeden Spreng Stembark

Abstract : Two prenylated chalcones, morachalcon A and one other unidentified compound (ME2) were isolated from the stembark of Artocarpus champeden and their structure were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. The antimalaria activities were determined against the growth of P.falciparum in vitro in the presence of a wide concentration ranges of the compound and the results indicated that all compounds exhibited antimalarial activity with IC50 of 0,28µg/ml and 0,35µg/ml respectively. Attemp

Evaluation of Fracture Resistance of Restoring Severely Damaged Primary Anterior Teeth Using Three Different Types of Intracanal Posts: An In Vitro Study

Abstract : This study aimed to evaluate the effect of using dentine posts on the fracture resistance of endodontically treated primary incisors in comparison to glass fiber and composite posts. The study sample consisted of 45 extracted primary maxillary incisors they were randomly distributed into two groups: Group I (Experimental, n=15): which was restored with dentine posts, Group I (Experimental, n=15): which was restored with composite posts, Group III (Control, n=15): which was restored with glass fi
