Medical Students Perception of Anatomage: A 3D Interactive (Virtual) Anatomy Dissection Table

Abstract : The rising number of Medical Schools and the increasing demand for cadavers, amid its scarcity, has prompted the search for alternatives in Anatomy Education. This study assessed students’ thought of the use of Anatomage as an Anatomy teaching and learning tool in medical school. A five-point scale questionnaire with a free hand comment section was completed by 50 medical students exposed to the use of Anatomage alongside the traditional cadaveric dissection for 2 academic sessions. Our resu

Confirmation of antibody response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Cysticercus cellulosae in cerebrospinal fluid by western blotting

Abstract : In India TB and NCC are the predominant endemic CNS infections with high mortality and morbidity. The clinical presentation usually overlap with each other and other CNS infections, causing dilemma in diagnosis. The study aims to assess significance of western blot of antibody response to both antigens of MTB and Cysticercus cellulosae. We prospectively evaluated 19 CSF samples showing reactivity by ELISA for both MTSE and Cysticercal antigens. Western blot was utilized for confirmation of the i

Diagnostic significance of cytokeratins in the monitoring of bladder cancer

Abstract : According to the results of our study, which assessed the diagnostic value of cytokeratin TPA and UBC in the monitoring of bladder cancer found, that ТРА marker had relatively high sensitivity and specificity. However, results of UBC test are more reliable. A combination of this tumor markers may improve the identification of new tumors and lower the requirements for cystoscopy during follow-up. Further studies are warranted to find a more accurate noninvasive test or a complex of tests compa

Evaluation of Remdesvir use in the treatment of CoVID-19 inpatient in Al-Kindy Teaching hospital

Abstract : The lack of an effective severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) antiviral medication has hindered the response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (C0VID-19) pandemic. A descriptive, observational, cross-sectional research examined a sample of Covid-19 patients with and without Remdesivir in their therapy. In this quantitative study, the utilization of Remdesivir in the treatment of COVID-19 inpatients at Al-Kindy Teaching Hospital was evaluated. Setting location and schedule F

Knowledge and Awareness of Iraqi Population toward (COVID-19) Pandemic, A Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract : COVID-19 is incoming β-coronavirus emerged from Wu-han, a city in central east of China in end of 2019. SARS-CoV-2 is the agent that causes the COVID-19 pandemic which is a highly transmittable and pathogenic virus infection. This paper is performed to determine the knowledge and awareness of COVID-19 among Iraqi population via cross-sectional study was conducted in Iraq during the period from April 2020 to May 2021 via social media targeted all the Iraqi population starting from age 11 years.

Neuro-Ophthalmological Manifestations in Relation to Estimated Cerebrospinal Fluid Pressure in Patients with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension

Abstract : Idiopathic intracranial hypertension is a syndrome of increased intracranial pressure of unclear etiology that most often occurs in obese women of childbearing age. To clarify relationship between cerebrospinal fluid pressure (CSF) and Neuro-ophthalmological manifestations of idiopathic intracranial hypertension. A prospective observational study of patients with newly diagnosed as idiopathic intracranial hypertension including patients with idiopathic intracranial hypertension who were admitted

Anatomical variations of the nose and paranasal sinuses by C.T scan evaluation in patients undergo functional endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic rhinosinusitis

Abstract : Radiologic assessment of the nose and paranasal sinuses is vital in identifying the site and extent of sinonasal disorders and in planning surgical treatments. To assess the frequency of the anatomical variations of the nose and paranasal sinuses in chronic rhinosinusitis and it's importance in patients undergoing functional endoscopic sinus surgery. This cross-sectional study consisted of 25 patients (17) males, (8) females who were attending Otorhinolaryngology Department at Al-Shaheed Ghazi A

Relationship between the severity of covid 19 and anosmia in patients of covid 19

Abstract : The pandemic of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has wreaked havoc on the planet. COVID-19 patients are increasingly showing signs of olfactory impairment. As well as anosmia, COVID-19 can also cause a dry cough.

Effect of Green and Red Tea Extracts on Histological Changes of Kidney in Albino Rats Infected with Escherichia coli

Abstract : Antibiotic resistance is increasingly emerging and represented as a top healthcare challenge that necessitates seeking alternative antibiotic remedies including herbal resources. Tea widely used beverage and different effective actions have been documented for tea extracts, such as antioxidant, antibacterial, and anticancer effects. We aimed to compare the antibacterial action of green versus red tea extracts. To do so, a model was created by exposing rats to E Coli infecting their kidneys and t

Phytochemical, Antibacterial, and Antioxidant Screening of Pomegranate Flowers Properties (Alcoholic Extract and Flavonoids)

Abstract : Recently, therapeutic plants are widely being used to manage, prevent, and treat multiple diseases. Pomegranate are broadly known for their antioxidant, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory effects. It is rich in compounds like maslinic acid, gallic acid, ethyl brevifolin-carboxylate, ellagic acid etc. Furthermore, the peel of pomegranate is composed of a large number of phytochemicals (biologically active compounds) like flavonoids, phenolic acids, and tannins contributing to its antimicrobial and
